Projects Summary

The Global Program on Youth is establishing broad-based groups of scholars, policy makers, and service providers located on four continents who are working together to address critical and timely issues related to children and youth. These interactive partnerships, referred to as collaboratories, include people with varying skills and perspectives linked via technology. Collaboratory members come together out of a common concern and desire to share information, build understanding, and seek solutions focused on children and youth.

Now in our second year, GPY has eight established collaboratories focusing on the following areas: 1) school violence; 2) poverty and child development; 3) youth as community builders; 4) technology access for inner-city youth; 5) youth conflict; 6) the effect of NAFTA on children; 7) foster care; and 8) mental health.
