Lessons Learned

This project incorporates a unique partnership between human services, parents, and researchers. Lessons learned from this project relate to:

  • Bridging the gap between academic research and practice
  • Integrating technology into practice
  • Screening children for mental health problems and assessing their service needs
  • Providing services that are culturally sensitive and accessible
  • Qualitative research and community-based participatory methods
